Before I Go to Sleep was one of my books of 2011 and I was really excited to hear that the film rights had been picked up by Ridley Scott. The lead actors were confirmed this week as *drum roll please * Nicole Kidman, Mark Strong and Mr Darcy Colin Firth. Colour me excited.

Ooh! That’s the first I’ve heard about casting! I loved the book and was already looking forward to the film, but now even more so.

Interesting choices…I can’t imagine how Nicole Kidman will play the lead at all, she doesn’t fit with the woman I imagined at all. I had heard Colin Firth would be involved but didn’t realise Mark Strong will be in it too, I am trying to wonder which character Firth will play? The doctor maybe?

Firth will play Ben, the husband, and Mark Strong the doctor. Yes, I’m not convinced by Kidman as Christine but hopefully we’ll be proved wrong.
